The Kathleen Graham Trust

The Kathleen Graham Trust was founded by Frances and Patrick Connolly to support and enrich the lives of all sections of the communities in Strabane and Belfast. The trust is actually the work of a group of likeminded and dedicated people whose purpose is to help community groups achieve their goals, fulfil their ambitions and reach their potential. The aim of the trust is to support, and help become sustainable, projects within the community which are already delivering services that enhance the life experiences of their service users. The intent is to invest in those projects which need a boost to reach a wider audience within the community and make their work a little easier with cash injections where appropriate. What differentiates this charity is our engagement with the projects we help and our desire to build connections between the groups for mutual support.

Liquid Therapy is a foundation that works with young people who have additional needs and cannot or struggle to participate in mainstream ocean and surfing activities. This project would not have been able to explore it’s potential without the help of the Kathleen Graham Trust.

How we do it

Through financial support and practical assistance groups will have the opportunity to better themselves and form new partnerships together that can be sustained indefinitely, the communities across Strabane and Belfast deserve to reflect the wonderful nature of the people within them and The Kathleen Graham Trust will play its small role in making this happen. We offer grants of up to £5000 per project.

Reach has been aiming to be in touch with the elderly and isolated. The funding from the trust was so welcome. One of your project workers saw the work being done on the ground, had trust in us, and saw it through. We are so grateful.
